Baby wraps are a way for parents to carry their infants and toddlers.
The fabric tightly hugs your child around you, like another extra layer of clothing. Compared to carriers, the wrap was made to distribute your child’s weight evenly over your shoulders, hips, and back.
It is beneficial both for you and your child. It gives infants the support they need without sacrificing the parent’s comfort.
Whether you’re traveling, working at home, or you just need to run a few errands, Boba Wrap allows you to easily carry your child while you move around.

What is Boba Wrap? Wrap Baby In Blanket
Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It began back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Since then, they’ve now grown to accommodate thousands of customers throughout the world.
They are even certified as hip-healthy for babies by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The wrap can help properly position the baby so that their spine and hips are well protected.
Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a sort of stretchable fabric meant to carry the baby. This allows the babies to be as close as possible with their parents or caregivers. The baby will be able to snuggle closely to their parent’s chest, giving them the warmth and comfort they need.
A parent’s scent is among the most comforting things for a baby. Top it off with getting warmth and hearing your heartbeat, and you’ll have one happy baby.
It’s ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. You can still use them even if your child is already a toddler but they work best when used in newborns. Aside from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers and even accessories.
The website also provides wrap tutorials and tips, which is helpful for people who’ve never tried using baby wraps.
What is Boba Wrap made of?
Boba Wrap is made of a blend of cloth having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. Both of these materials make it stretchable and soft.
For reference, the Boba Wrap is about 5.5 yards long. Although it’s stretchable, it’s not as elastic as other materials, which is just fine as it’s sufficient to carry your infant. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it doesn’t snag. You will have the ability to use the wrap until your child reaches 35 lbs. Some parents even have it on toddlers and found no problems.
It’s also breathable, but the blend of spandex can make it too warm to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it’s perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your child enough warmth. If you are intending to use it during summer, just make sure your child is wearing light clothing.
Another note about the material is that it makes the wrap effortless to clean. It also dries quickly, and you can easily place it on your bag when you’re not using it. It doesn’t occupy too much space like the other things on your baby bag.
Boba Wrap gives you 11 options. You can select from 9 different colors and 2 prints.
Colors include light gray, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark gray. If you’re not into plain colours, they’ve included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other wraps?
Boba Wrap aims to provide comfort to the parent and the child without having to sacrifice durability and quality. However, Boba Wrap isn’t the only baby wrap that offers these. It can be tough to choose, especially for those who have a baby to take care of.
In this section, we will take a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. For this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.
Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap
The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is approximately 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 pounds. It can also be machine washed.
The cotton makes the wrap more breathable and comfortable during warm days. It can stretch too, so that you can use it until your baby becomes a toddler.
Moby Wrap also allows parents to configure the wrap in four different ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child grows. You can use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.
If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable when it comes to breathability. Concerning thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker compared to the Moby Wrap. Although both are durable, if you’re using it during the hot summer months, Moby Wrap would be more comfortable.
However, the Moby Wrap does not have much room for stretchability compared to Boba Wrap. As soon as you put inside the baby in the wrap, the whole thing easily stretches if you use the Boba Wrap instead. You can tie it as tight as possible and it wouldn’t be much of a problem. This is much easier to deal with compared to Moby Wrap, where you have to tie it just right since it will not stretch as much. Plus-sized parents also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It’s also easier to use as your child develops.
Additionally, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 lbs. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it possible to be used by babies which are beyond 35 pounds.
Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby
Another wrap carrier which has become popular over the recent years is Solly Baby. They’re also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The same as Boba Wrap, this one is at 5.5 yards. It can carry up to 25 lbs.
The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it is made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.
Compared to cotton, Lenzing Modal is much more breathable. It can circulate air better than other fabrics as it’s lighter. Additionally, it is moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Wrap Baby In Blanket
However, compared to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Tying can be harder even if there are tutorials available online.
Additionally, the fabric can be too thin for some parents. Finding the perfect tightness when tying the wrap can be challenging too since it doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s.
Although Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap could be more reassuring for some parents. It’s also more durable from wear-and-tear.
Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you might not be able to use it if your baby turns 9 months old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 pounds, which makes it usable until your child becomes a year old.
