Baby wraps are a great way for parents to carry their babies and toddlers.
The fabric tightly hugs your child around you, like another additional layer of clothing. In comparison to carriers, the wrap is designed to distribute your baby’s weight evenly over your shoulders, hips, and back.
It’s beneficial both for you and your little one. It gives infants the support they need without sacrificing the parent’s comfort.
Whether you’re traveling, working at home, or you just need to run a few errands, Boba Wrap allows you to easily carry your child while you move around.

What is Boba Wrap? Twins Boba Wrap
Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It began back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Since then, they’ve now grown to accommodate thousands of customers across the world.
They’re even certified as hip-healthy for babies by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The baby’s spine and hips are well protected because the wrap helps position them.
Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a sort of stretchable fabric intended to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as near as possible with their parents or caregivers. The baby will be able to snuggle closely to their parent’s chest, giving them the warmth and comfort they need.
A parent’s scent is among the most comforting things for a baby. Top it off with getting warmth and hearing your heartbeat, and you’ll have one happy baby.
It’s ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. You can still use them even if your child is a toddler but they work best when used in newborns. Aside from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers and even accessories.
The website also provides wrap tutorials and tips, which can be helpful for people who’ve never tried using baby wraps.
What is Boba Wrap made of?
Boba Wrap is made from a blend of cloth having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. Both of these materials make it stretchable and soft.
For reference, the Boba Wrap is about 5.5 yards long. Although it is stretchable, it is not as elastic as other materials, which is just fine since it’s enough to carry your infant. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it will not snag. You’ll have the ability to use the wrapping until your child reaches 35 pounds. Some parents even have tried it on toddlers and found no issues.
Additionally, it is breathable, but the mix of spandex can make it too warm to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it is perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your child enough warmth. Just make sure your child is wearing light clothing if you are intending to use it during summer.
Another note about the material is that it makes the wrap easy to clean. Additionally, it dries quickly, and it is easy to place it on your bag when you’re not using it. It doesn’t take up too much space like the other items on your baby bag.
Boba Wrap gives you 11 options. You can select from 9 different colours and 2 prints.
Colors include light gray, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark grey. If you’re not into plain colors, they have included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other wraps?
Boba Wrap aims to offer comfort to the parent and the child without needing to sacrifice durability and quality. However, Boba Wrap isn’t the sole baby wrap that offers these. If you have a baby to look after, choosing which to go for can be tough.
In this section, we will have a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. For this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.
Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap
The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is about 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. It can also be machine washed.
The cotton makes the wrapping more breathable and comfortable during hot days. It can stretch also, so you can use it until your baby becomes a toddler.
Moby Wrap also enables parents to configure the wrapping in four unique ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child grows. It is possible to use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.
If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable in terms of breathability. In terms of thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker than the Moby Wrap. The latter is more suitable to be utilized during the hot summer months so that you and your baby will be comfortable.
However, the Moby Wrap doesn’t have much room for stretchability in comparison to Boba Wrap. As soon as you put inside the baby in the wrap, the whole thing easily stretches if you use the Boba Wrap instead. You can tie it as tight as possible and it wouldn’t be much of a problem. This is easier to deal with compared to Moby Wrap, where you must tie it just right since it doesn’t stretch as much. Plus-sized parents will also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It’s also easier to use as your child develops.
Additionally, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 lbs. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it easy to be used by infants that are beyond 35 lbs.
Both products are good and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby
Solly Baby is another wrap carrier which has become popular over recent years. They are also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The length is at 5.5 yards, the same as Boba Wrap.
The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it’s made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.
Compared to cotton, Lenzing Modal is more breathable. It can circulate air better than other fabrics since it’s lighter. Additionally, it is moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Twins Boba Wrap
However, in comparison to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Tying can be harder even if there are tutorials available on the internet.
Moreover, the fabric can be too thin for some parents. It doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s, so finding just the perfect tightness when creating the wrap can be more challenging.
Though Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap could be more comforting for some parents. It’s also more long-lasting from wear-and-tear.
Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you may not have the ability to use it if your baby turns 9 weeks old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 pounds, making it usable until your child becomes a year old.
