Baby wraps are a way for parents to carry their babies and toddlers.
The cloth tightly hugs your child around you, like another extra layer of clothing. Compared to carriers, the wrap is designed to distribute your child’s weight evenly over your shoulders, hips, and back.
It’s beneficial both for you and your little one. It gives babies the support they need without sacrificing the parent’s comfort.
Boba Wrap allows you to easily carry your child while you’re traveling or while you work at home, or when you simply need to run a few errands.

What is Boba Wrap? Smaller Second Piece Boba Wrap
Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It began back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Now, it has grown to accommodate thousands of customers across the world.
They’re even certified as hip-healthy for babies by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The baby’s spine and hips are well protected because the wrap helps position them.
Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a type of stretchable fabric meant to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as close as possible with their parents or caregivers. The babies will get the warmth and comfort they need as they snuggle closely to their parent’s chest.
A parent’s scent is among the most comforting things for a baby. Top it off with getting heat and hearing your heartbeat, and you’ll have one happy baby.
It is ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. They are best used on newborns, but you can still use them if your child is a toddler. Aside from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers and even accessories.
The website also offers wrap tutorials and tips, which is helpful for those who’ve never tried using baby wraps.
What is Boba Wrap made of?
Boba Wrap is made of a blend of fabric having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. These two materials make it soft and pliable.
For reference, the Boba Wrap is about 5.5 yards long. Even though it is stretchable, it is not as elastic as other substances, which is just fine since it’s enough to carry your infant. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it will not snag. You’ll have the ability to use the wrap until your child reaches 35 pounds. Some parents even have tried it on toddlers and found no problems.
Although the fabric is breathable, the blend of cotton and spandex can make it too hot to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it’s perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your kid enough warmth. If you are intending to use it during summer, just make sure that your child is wearing light clothing.
Another note about the material is that it makes the wrapping effortless to clean. Additionally, it dries quickly, and it is easy to put it on your bag when you are not using it. It doesn’t occupy too much space like the other items in your baby bag.
Boba Wrap gives you 11 options. You can choose from 9 different colours and 2 prints.
Colors include light grey, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark grey. If you’re not into plain colours, they have included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other baby wraps?
Boba Wrap aims to provide comfort to the parent and the child without needing to sacrifice durability and quality. However, Boba Wrap is not the only baby wrap that offers these. It can be hard to choose, especially if you have a baby to look after.
In this section, we’ll take a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. For this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.
Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap
The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is approximately 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. It can also be machine washed.
The cotton makes the wrap more breathable and comfortable during warm days. Because it’s also stretchable, you can use it until your baby becomes a toddler.
Moby Wrap also enables parents to configure the wrapping in four different ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child grows. It is possible to use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.
If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable in terms of breathability. Concerning thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker compared to the Moby Wrap. The latter is more suitable to be used during the hot summer months so that you and your baby will be comfortable.
However, the Moby Wrap doesn’t have much room for stretchability compared to Boba Wrap. With the Boba Wrap, you can tie it a tight as possible because it is going to easily stretch as soon as you put the baby inside the wrap. This is easier to deal with compared to Moby Wrap, where you must tie it just right because it will not stretch as much. Plus-sized parents will also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It’s also easier to use as your child develops.
Furthermore, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 pounds. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it easy to be used by infants which are beyond 35 pounds.
Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby
Solly Baby is another wrap carrier that has become popular over recent years. They’re also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The length is at 5.5 yards, the same as Boba Wrap.
The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those people who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it is made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.
Compared to cotton, Lenzing Modal is more breathable. It can circulate air better than most fabrics as it’s lighter. Additionally, it is moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Smaller Second Piece Boba Wrap
However, in comparison to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Even if there are tutorials available online, tying can be harder than Boba Wrap.
Additionally, the fabric can be too thin for some parents. It doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s, so finding just the perfect tightness when making the wrap can be more challenging.
Though Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap could be more comforting for some parents. It is also more durable from wear-and-tear.
Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you might not be able to use it when your baby turns 9 months old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 pounds, which makes it usable until your child becomes a year old.
Pros & Cons
To help you decide whether Boba Wrap is suitable for you, we’ve summarised the pros and cons.
- Fabric is soft
- Usable even by 1-year-old babies
- Recommended for plus-sized parents
- Wrapping has a learning curve
- Fabric can be too hot during summer
- Petite-sized parents will find it too long
The Boba Wrap is an excellent investment, whether you are a first-time parent or not. You can use it on your newborn baby until they become toddlers.
The material is durable and elastic. Because it’s 5% spandex, it can make you feel warm. Make sure you and your baby wear light clothing on hot days. It is machine washable and dries fast. You may use it in different ways. Additionally, it’s easy to store them.
Although it’s not perfect, the advantages of using Boba Wrap outweigh its defects. It is durable compared to other infant wraps. It’s comfortable not just for your baby but for you also. Bid farewell to backaches! Smaller Second Piece Boba Wrap
