Baby wraps are a great way for parents to carry their babies and toddlers.

The cloth tightly hugs your child around you, like another additional layer of clothing. In comparison to carriers, the wrap was made to distribute your baby’s weight evenly over your shoulders, hips, and back.

It’s beneficial both for you and your little one. It gives infants the support they need without sacrificing the parent’s comfort.

Whether you’re traveling, working at home, or you just have to run a few errands, Boba Wrap allows you to easily carry your child while you move around.

If you wish to find out more about Boba Wrap, we’ll be reviewing its benefits and how different it is compared to other brands.

What is Boba Wrap? Boba Wrap Three Month Old

Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It started back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Since then, they’ve now grown to accommodate tens of thousands of customers across the globe.

They’re even certified as hip-healthy for babies by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The wrap can help properly position the baby so that their spine and hips are well protected.

Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a sort of stretchable fabric intended to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as close as possible with their parents or caregivers. The babies will get the warmth and comfort they need as they snuggle closely to their parent’s chest.

A parent’s scent is one of the most comforting things for a baby. Top it off with getting heat and hearing your heartbeat, and you will have one happy baby.

It’s ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. They are best used on newborns, but you can still use them if your child is already a toddler. Aside from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers as well as accessories.

The website also provides wrap tutorials and tips, which can be helpful for people who’ve never tried using baby wraps.

What is Boba Wrap made of?

Boba Wrap is made of a blend of cloth having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. Both of these materials make it stretchable and soft.

For reference, the Boba Wrap is about 5.5 yards long. Even though it’s stretchable, it’s not as elastic as other substances, which is just fine as it’s sufficient to carry your baby. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it will not snag. You will have the ability to use the wrap until your child reaches 35 pounds. Some parents found no problems when they it on their toddlers.

Additionally, it is breathable, but the mix of spandex can make it too hot to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it is perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your child enough warmth. Just make sure your child is wearing light clothing if you are planning to use it during summer.

Another note about the material is that it makes the wrap effortless to clean. Additionally, it dries quickly, and it is easy to put it on your bag when you’re not using it. It doesn’t take up too much space like the other items on your baby bag.

Boba Wrap offers you 11 options. You can choose from 9 different colors and 2 prints.

Colors include light grey, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark gray. If you are not into plain colors, they’ve included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other baby wraps?

Boba Wrap aims to offer comfort to the parent and the child without needing to sacrifice quality and durability. However, Boba Wrap isn’t the only baby wrap that offers these. If you have a baby to take care of, choosing which to go for can be hard.

In this section, we will take a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. With this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.

Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap

The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is approximately 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. It can also be machine washed.

The cotton makes the wrapping more breathable and comfortable during hot days. It can stretch too, so you can use it until your baby becomes a toddler.

Moby Wrap also enables parents to configure the wrapping in four different ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child grows. You can use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.

If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable when it comes to breathability. Concerning thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker than the Moby Wrap. The latter is more suitable to be utilized during the hot summer months so that you and your infant will be comfortable.

However, the Moby Wrap does not have much room for stretchability compared to Boba Wrap. With the Boba Wrap, it is possible to tie it a tight as possible because it is going to easily stretch once you put the baby inside the wrap. This is much easier to deal with compared to using Moby Wrap, where you have to tie it just right because it will not stretch as much. Plus-sized parents also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It is also easier to use as your child grows.

Additionally, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 pounds. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it easy to be used by babies that are beyond 35 lbs.

Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby

Another wrap carrier which has become popular over the recent years is Solly Baby. They’re also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The same as Boba Wrap, this one is at 5.5 yards. It can carry up to 25 pounds.

The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it is made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.

Lenzing Modal is more breathable compared to cotton. It can circulate air better than most fabrics as it’s lighter. It’s also moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Boba Wrap Three Month Old

However, in comparison to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Tying can be harder even if there are tutorials available on the internet.

Additionally, the cloth can be too thin for some parents. It doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s, so finding just the perfect tightness when making the wrap can be more challenging.

Although Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap might be more reassuring for some parents. It is also more durable from wear-and-tear.

Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you might not have the ability to use it when your baby turns 9 months old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 pounds, which makes it usable until your child becomes a year old.
