What is Boba Wrap? Boba Wrap Manufactured

Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It began back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Now, it has grown to accommodate thousands of customers across the world.

They’re even certified as hip-healthy for infants by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The baby’s spine and hips are well protected because the wrap helps properly position them.

Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a type of stretchable fabric intended to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as near as possible with their parents or caregivers. The baby will be able to embrace closely to their parent’s chest, giving them the warmth and comfort they need.

A parent’s scent is among the most reassuring things for a baby. Top it off with getting warmth and hearing your heartbeat, and you will have one happy baby.

It is ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. They’re best used on newborns, but you can still use them if your child is a toddler. Apart from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers as well as accessories.

The website also offers wrap tutorials and tips, which is helpful for those who’ve never tried using baby wraps.

What is Boba Wrap made of?

Boba Wrap is made from a blend of fabric having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. These two materials make it soft and pliable.

For reference, the Boba Wrap is about 5.5 yards long. Even though it’s stretchable, it’s not as elastic as other materials, which is just fine since it’s sufficient to carry your baby. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it doesn’t snag. You will have the ability to use the wrap until your child reaches 35 pounds. Some parents found no problems when they tried it on their toddlers.

Additionally, it is breathable, but the blend of spandex can make it too hot to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it is perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your child enough warmth. If you’re planning to use it during summer, just make sure that your child is wearing light clothing.

Another note about the material is that it makes the wrapping effortless to clean. It also dries quickly, and it is easy to put it on your bag when you’re not using it. It doesn’t take up too much space like the other items in your baby bag.

Boba Wrap gives you 11 options. You can select from 9 different colors and 2 prints.

Colors include light grey, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark gray. If you are not into plain colors, they’ve included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other wraps?

Boba Wrap aims to offer comfort to the parent and the child without having to sacrifice durability and quality. However, Boba Wrap is not the sole baby wrap that offers these. It can be hard to choose, especially for those who have a baby to take care of.

In this section, we will have a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. For this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.

Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap

The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is about 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. It can also be machine washed.

The cotton makes the wrapping more breathable and comfortable during hot days. It can stretch too, so that you can use it until your infant becomes a toddler.

Moby Wrap also enables parents to configure the wrapping in four different ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child grows. You can use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.

If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable in terms of breathability. Concerning thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker than the Moby Wrap. Although both are durable, if you’re using it during the hot summer months, Moby Wrap would be more comfortable.

However, the Moby Wrap does not have much room for stretchability in comparison to Boba Wrap. As soon as you put inside the baby in the wrap, the whole thing easily stretches if you use the Boba Wrap instead. It is possible to tie it as tight as you can and it wouldn’t be much of a problem. This is much easier to deal with compared to using Moby Wrap, where you must tie it just right because it doesn’t stretch as much. Plus-sized parents also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It’s also easier to use as your child develops.

Furthermore, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 lbs. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it easy to be used by infants that are beyond 35 lbs.

Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby

Solly Baby is another wrap carrier that has become popular over recent years. They are also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The same as Boba Wrap, this one is at 5.5 yards. It can carry up to 25 pounds.

The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those people who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it’s made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.

Compared to cotton, Lenzing Modal is much more breathable. It can circulate air better than other fabrics as it’s lighter. Additionally, it is moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Boba Wrap Manufactured

However, in comparison to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Tying it up can be harder even if there are tutorials available on the internet.

Additionally, the cloth can be too thin for some parents. Finding the perfect tightness when tying the wrap can be challenging too since it doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s.

Though Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap might be more reassuring for some parents. It’s also more long-lasting from wear-and-tear.

Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you may not have the ability to use it if your baby turns 9 months old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 pounds, making it usable until your child becomes a year old.
