What is Boba Wrap? Boba Wrap For Dog

Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It began back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Now, it’s grown to accommodate thousands of customers throughout the globe.

They are even certified as hip-healthy for babies by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The baby’s spine and hips are well protected because the wrap helps properly position them.

Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a sort of stretchable fabric meant to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as close as possible with their parents or caregivers. The baby will be able to embrace closely to their parent’s chest, giving them the warmth and comfort they need.

A parent’s scent is among the most reassuring things for a baby. Top it off with getting heat and hearing your heartbeat, and you’ll have one happy baby.

It is ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. You can still use them even if your child is a toddler but they work best when used in newborns. Apart from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers as well as accessories.

If you never had experience how to tie baby wraps, their website also offers wrap tutorials and tips.

What is Boba Wrap made of?

Boba Wrap is made from a blend of fabric having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. These two materials make it soft and pliable.

For reference, the Boba Wrap is 5.5 yards long. Although it’s stretchable, it’s not as elastic as other materials, which is just fine as it’s sufficient to carry your infant. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it will not snag. You will be able to use the wrap until your child reaches 35 lbs. Some parents found no issues when they it on their toddlers.

Although the fabric is breathable, the mix of cotton and spandex can make it too hot to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it’s perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your kid enough warmth. Just make sure your child is wearing light clothing if you’re planning to use it during summer.

Another note about the material is that it makes the wrap easy to clean. Additionally, it dries quickly, and it is easy to put it on your bag when you are not using it. It doesn’t take up too much space like the other things in your baby bag.

Boba Wrap gives you 11 options. You can choose from 9 different colours and 2 prints.

Colors include light gray, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark grey. If you’re not into plain colors, they have included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other wraps?

Boba Wrap aims to provide comfort to the parent and the child without needing to sacrifice quality and durability. However, Boba Wrap is not the sole baby wrap that offers these. It can be hard to choose, especially for those who have a baby to take care of.

In this section, we’ll take a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. For this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.

Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap

The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is approximately 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 pounds. It can also be machine washed.

The cotton makes the wrap more breathable and comfortable during warm days. Because it’s also stretchable, you can use it until your baby becomes a toddler.

Moby Wrap also enables parents to configure the wrap in four unique ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child develops. You can use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.

If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable when it comes to breathability. In terms of thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker than the Moby Wrap. Although both are durable, if you’re utilizing it during the hot summer months, Moby Wrap would be more comfortable.

However, the Moby Wrap does not have much room for stretchability in comparison to Boba Wrap. If you use the Boba Wrap, you can tie it a tight as possible because it is going to easily stretch as soon as you put the baby inside the wrap. This is easier to deal with compared to Moby Wrap, where you must tie it just right since it will not stretch as much. Plus-sized parents will also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It is also easier to use as your child develops.

Additionally, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 pounds. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it easy to be used by babies that are beyond 35 lbs.

Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby

Another wrap carrier which has become popular over the recent years is Solly Baby. They are also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The same as Boba Wrap, this one is at 5.5 yards. It may carry up to 25 pounds.

The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it’s made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.

Lenzing Modal is more breathable compared to cotton. It can circulate air better than most fabrics since it’s lighter. It’s also moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Boba Wrap For Dog

However, compared to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Even if there are tutorials available online, tying can be harder than Boba Wrap.

Additionally, the cloth can be too thin for some parents. Finding the right tightness when tying the wrap can be challenging too since it doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s.

Though Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap might be more reassuring for some parents. It is also more durable from wear-and-tear.

Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you may not be able to use it if your baby turns 9 months old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 pounds, which makes it usable until your child becomes a year old.
