Baby wraps are a great way for parents to carry their babies and toddlers.
The cloth tightly hugs your child around you, like another extra layer of clothing. The wrap is designed to distribute your baby’s weight evenly over your hips, back, and shoulders, whereas carriers often put the burden on the back.
It is beneficial both for you and your child. It gives infants the support they need without sacrificing the parent’s comfort.
Boba Wrap allows you to easily carry your child while you’re traveling or while you work at home, or whenever you just need to run a few errands.

What is Boba Wrap? Boba Wrap Drier
Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It began back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Since then, they’ve now grown to accommodate tens of thousands of customers throughout the world.
They’re even certified as hip-healthy for babies by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The wrap can help properly position the baby so that their spine and hips are well protected.
Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a type of stretchable fabric intended to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as close as possible with their parents or caregivers. The baby will be able to snuggle closely to their parent’s chest, giving them the warmth and comfort they need.
A parent’s scent is one of the most reassuring things for a baby. Top it off with getting heat and hearing your heartbeat, and you will have one happy baby.
It’s ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. You can still use them even if your child is a toddler but they work best when used in newborns. Aside from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers as well as accessories.
If you never had experience how to tie baby wraps, their website also offers wrap tutorials and tips.
What is Boba Wrap made of?
Boba Wrap is made of a blend of fabric having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. These two materials make it soft and pliable.
For reference, the Boba Wrap is 5.5 yards long. Even though it’s stretchable, it’s not as elastic as other substances, which is just fine since it’s sufficient to carry your baby. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it doesn’t snag. You’ll have the ability to use the wrapping until your child reaches 35 pounds. Some parents even have tried it on toddlers and found no issues.
It’s also breathable, but the mix of spandex can make it too warm to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it’s perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your child enough warmth. Just make sure that your child is wearing light clothing if you’re planning to use it during summer.
Another note about the material is that it makes the wrap easy to clean. It also dries quickly, and it is easy to put it on your bag when you’re not using it. It doesn’t occupy too much space like the other items in your baby bag.
Boba Wrap offers you 11 options. You can select from 9 different colors and 2 prints.
Colors include light gray, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark gray. If you are not into plain colors, they have included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other wraps?
Boba Wrap aims to provide comfort to the parent and the child without needing to sacrifice durability and quality. However, Boba Wrap is not the only baby wrap that offers these. For those who have a baby to take care of, choosing which to go for can be tough.
In this section, we will take a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. For this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.
Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap
The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is approximately 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. It can also be machine washed.
The cotton makes the wrapping more breathable and comfortable during warm days. Because it’s also stretchable, you can use it until your baby becomes a toddler.
Moby Wrap also allows parents to configure the wrapping in four different ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child develops. You can use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.
If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable in terms of breathability. In terms of thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker compared to the Moby Wrap. The latter is more suitable to be utilized during the hot summer months so that you and your baby will be comfortable.
However, the Moby Wrap doesn’t have a lot of room for stretchability in comparison to Boba Wrap. Once you put inside the baby in the wrap, the whole thing easily stretches if you use the Boba Wrap instead. You can tie it as tight as you can and it wouldn’t be much of a problem. This is much easier to deal with compared to Moby Wrap, where you must tie it just right since it will not stretch as much. Plus-sized parents will also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It is also easier to use as your child grows.
Furthermore, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 lbs. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it possible to be used by babies which are beyond 35 pounds.
Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby
Another wrap carrier that has become popular over the recent years is Solly Baby. They are also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The length is at 5.5 yards, the same as Boba Wrap.
The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those people who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it’s made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.
Compared to cotton, Lenzing Modal is much more breathable. It can circulate air better than most fabrics as it’s lighter. It’s also moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Boba Wrap Drier
However, in comparison to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Tying can be harder even if there are tutorials available online.
Moreover, the fabric can be too thin for some parents. It doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s, so finding just the perfect tightness when creating the wrap can be more challenging.
Though Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap could be more comforting for some parents. It’s also more durable from wear-and-tear.
Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you might not have the ability to use it when your baby turns 9 weeks old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 lbs, which makes it usable until your child becomes a year old.

Bottom Line

Even though it is not perfect, the benefits of using Boba Wrap outweigh its defects. It’s durable compared to other infant wraps. It’s comfortable not only for your baby but for you also. Bid farewell to backaches! Boba Wrap Drier
