Baby wraps are a way for parents to carry their infants and toddlers.
The cloth tightly hugs your child around you, like another extra layer of clothing. In comparison to carriers, the wrap was made to distribute your child’s weight evenly over your shoulders, hips, and back.
It is beneficial both for you and your child. It gives babies the support they need without sacrificing the parent’s comfort.
Whether you’re traveling, working at home, or you just have to run a few errands, Boba Wrap allows you to easily carry your child while you move around.
If you wish to know more about Boba Wrap, we’ll be reviewing its benefits and how different it is compared to other brands.

What is Boba Wrap? Boba Baby Carrier 2023
Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It began back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Now, it’s grown to accommodate tens of thousands of customers across the world.
They’re even certified as hip-healthy for infants by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The baby’s spine and hips are well protected because the wrap helps position them.
Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a sort of stretchable fabric intended to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as near as possible with their parents or caregivers. The baby will be able to snuggle closely to their parent’s chest, giving them the warmth and comfort they need.
A parent’s scent is one of the most reassuring things for a baby. Top it off with getting warmth and hearing your heartbeat, and you’ll have one happy baby.
It is ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. They are best used on newborns, but you can still use them if your child is already a toddler. Apart from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers and even accessories.
If you never had experience how to tie baby wraps, their website also offers wrap tutorials and tips.
What is Boba Wrap made of?
Boba Wrap is made from a blend of cloth having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. These two materials make it stretchable and soft.
For reference, the Boba Wrap is 5.5 yards long. Even though it is stretchable, it’s not as elastic as other substances, which is just fine as it’s enough to carry your infant. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it doesn’t snag. You’ll have the ability to use the wrap until your child reaches 35 pounds. Some parents even have tried it on toddlers and found no problems.
It’s also breathable, but the mix of spandex can make it too hot to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it is perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your kid enough warmth. Just make sure that your child is wearing light clothing if you’re intending to use it during summer.
Another note about the material is that it makes the wrapping easy to clean. It also dries quickly, and it is easy to put it on your bag when you’re not using it. It doesn’t occupy too much space like the other things in your baby bag.
Boba Wrap offers you 11 options. You can select from 9 different colours and 2 prints.
Colors include light gray, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark gray. If you are not into plain colors, they have included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other baby wraps?
Boba Wrap aims to provide comfort to the parent and the child without needing to sacrifice quality and durability. However, Boba Wrap is not the only baby wrap that offers these. It can be hard to choose, especially if you have a baby to look after.
In this section, we’ll have a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. For this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.
Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap
The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is approximately 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 pounds. It can also be machine washed.
The cotton makes the wrapping more breathable and comfortable during hot days. Because it’s also stretchable, you can use it until your baby becomes a toddler.
Moby Wrap also allows parents to configure the wrapping in four different ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child develops. It is possible to use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.
If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable in terms of breathability. Concerning thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker than the Moby Wrap. The latter is more suitable to be utilized during the hot summer months so that you and your infant will be comfortable.
However, the Moby Wrap does not have a lot of room for stretchability in comparison to Boba Wrap. Once you put inside the baby in the wrap, the whole thing easily stretches if you use the Boba Wrap instead. It is possible to tie it as tight as possible and it wouldn’t be much of a problem. This is easier to deal with compared to using Moby Wrap, where you have to tie it just right since it doesn’t stretch as much. Plus-sized parents also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It is also easier to use as your child develops.
Furthermore, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 pounds. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 pounds. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it easy to be used by infants which are beyond 35 lbs.
Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby
Another wrap carrier which has become popular over the recent years is Solly Baby. They are also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The length is at 5.5 yards, the same as Boba Wrap.
The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it is made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.
Lenzing Modal is much more breathable compared to cotton. It can circulate air better than other fabrics as it’s lighter. Additionally, it is moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Boba Baby Carrier 2023
However, compared to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Tying it up can be harder even if there are tutorials available on the internet.
Moreover, the fabric can be too thin for some parents. Finding the perfect tightness when tying the wrap can be challenging too since it doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s.
Although Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap could be more comforting for some parents. It’s also more long-lasting from wear-and-tear.
Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you might not have the ability to use it if your baby turns 9 months old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 pounds, making it usable until your child becomes a year old.
