Baby wraps are a way for parents to carry their infants and toddlers.
The fabric tightly hugs your child around you, like another extra layer of clothing. The wrap was made to distribute your child’s weight evenly over your hips, back, and shoulders, whereas carriers often put the burden on the back.
It is beneficial both for you and your little one. It gives infants the support they need without sacrificing the parent’s comfort.
Boba Wrap allows you to easily carry your child while you’re traveling or while you work at home, or whenever you just have to run a few errands.

What is Boba Wrap? Baby Boba Wrap Video
Boba Wrap was founded by husband and wife Elizabeth and Robert Antunovic. It started back in 2007 when their family was traveling across Europe. Since then, they’ve now grown to accommodate thousands of customers throughout the globe.
They’re even certified as hip-healthy for babies by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The baby’s spine and hips are well protected because the wrap helps properly position them.
Their first product — the Boba Wrap, is a sort of stretchable fabric intended to carry the infant. This allows the babies to be as near as possible with their parents or caregivers. The baby will be able to snuggle closely to their parent’s chest, giving them the warmth and comfort they need.
A parent’s scent is one of the most reassuring things for a baby. Top it off with getting warmth and hearing your heartbeat, and you will have one happy baby.
It’s ergonomic and breastfeeding-friendly. They are best used on newborns, but you can still use them if your child is a toddler. Apart from Boba Wraps, they also offer Boba Carriers and even accessories.
If you never had experience how to tie baby wraps, their website also provides wrap tutorials and tips.
What is Boba Wrap made of?
Boba Wrap is made from a blend of cloth having 5% Spandex and 95% cotton. Both of these materials make it stretchable and soft.
For reference, the Boba Wrap is 5.5 yards long. Even though it’s stretchable, it is not as elastic as other substances, which is just fine since it’s enough to carry your infant. The best thing about this is that even with repeated use, it doesn’t snag. You will be able to use the wrapping until your child reaches 35 lbs. Some parents even have tried it on toddlers and found no issues.
Additionally, it is breathable, but the blend of spandex can make it too warm to wear during the hottest days of summer. Otherwise, it is perfect to be used outside in colder weather. It provides you and your kid enough warmth. Just make sure that your child is wearing light clothing if you’re intending to use it during summer.
Another note about the material is that it makes the wrapping effortless to clean. Additionally, it dries quickly, and you can easily put it on your bag when you’re not using it. It doesn’t occupy too much space like the other things on your baby bag.
Boba Wrap gives you 11 options. You can select from 9 different colors and 2 prints.
Colors include light gray, bloom, vintage blue, sangria, navy blue, dark blue, and dark gray. If you are not into plain colours, they have included a wrap with polka-dotted prints and another one with rainbow patterns.

How does it fare to other baby wraps?
Boba Wrap aims to offer comfort to the parent and the child without having to sacrifice durability and quality. However, Boba Wrap isn’t the sole baby wrap that offers these. For those who have a baby to look after, choosing which to go for can be hard.
In this section, we will have a look at how Boba Wrap performs against other competitors. With this review, we selected two of the most popular — Moby Wrap and Solly Baby.
Boba Wrap vs. Moby Wrap
The Moby Wrap is made of 100% cotton and is approximately 6.6 yards long. It can carry babies that weigh from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. It can also be machine washed.
The cotton makes the wrapping more breathable and comfortable during hot days. It can stretch also, so that you can use it until your infant becomes a toddler.
Moby Wrap also enables parents to configure the wrapping in four unique ways. This makes it more accommodating as your child develops. You can use Moby Wrap to carry them facing inwards, at the front, or on the hips.
If you compare the material, Moby Wrap is more comfortable in terms of breathability. In terms of thickness, the Boba Wrap is thicker than the Moby Wrap. Although both are durable, if you’re utilizing it during the hot summer months, Moby Wrap would be more comfortable.
However, the Moby Wrap does not have a lot of room for stretchability compared to Boba Wrap. If you use the Boba Wrap, you can tie it a tight as possible because it will easily stretch as soon as you put the baby in the wrap. This is much easier to deal with compared to using Moby Wrap, where you must tie it just right since it doesn’t stretch as much. Plus-sized parents also find the Boba Wrap more accomodating. It is also easier to use as your child grows.
Furthermore, Boba Wrap’s weight range accommodates babies from 5 pounds up to 35 lbs. On the other hand, Moby Wrap ranges from 8 pounds to 35 lbs. The stretchability factor of Boba Wrap makes it possible to be used by infants that are beyond 35 lbs.
Both products are great and both have very good strong points. But if you’re looking for something more versatile, we’d recommend Boba Wrap.

Boba Wrap vs. Solly Baby
Solly Baby is another wrap carrier which has become popular over recent years. They’re also recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for being hip-healthy. The same as Boba Wrap, this one is at 5.5 yards. It may carry up to 25 pounds.
The material is made of 100% Lenzing Modal. For those people who aren’t familiar with the fabric, it is made from Austrian Beechwood tree pulp. This Austrian fabric is then weaved and processed in L.A.
Compared to cotton, Lenzing Modal is much more breathable. It can circulate air better than other fabrics since it’s lighter. It’s also moisture-wicking, so it can keep you cool during summer while keeping you comfortable during winters. Baby Boba Wrap Video
However, compared to Boba Wrap, Solly Baby has a steeper learning curve. Even if there are tutorials available online, tying can be harder than Boba Wrap.
Moreover, the fabric can be too thin for some parents. Finding the right tightness when tying the wrap can be challenging too since it doesn’t stretch as well as Boba Wrap’s.
Though Solly Baby’s fabric is sturdy, the thicker feel of Boba Wrap could be more comforting for some parents. It’s also more durable from wear-and-tear.
Since Solly Baby can only accommodate up to 25 pounds, you may not have the ability to use it when your baby turns 9 weeks old. On the other hand, Boba Wrap can accommodate up to 35 lbs, which makes it usable until your child becomes a year old.
